For a lot of my friends and family, they may not even know that I am now OFFICIALLY going to the Netherlands. And until I'm there, I'd actually like to keep this somewhat of a surprise.
It's been quite a process filling in all the application forms, emailing through passport documents and the endless information about my interests, hobbies and family life. Because I am actually still an 8 - 5 working girl, all of this has to be done when I get home (and in an exhausted state).
But It has all been worth it!. I was told yesterday that the family that was interested in me, and whom I had a Skype call with on Sunday night, Officially want me as their Au pair. Makes 2 of us then.
They are located in a small town just outside Utrecht, and about 40km from Amsterdam.
I'm still letting this all sink in so don't doubt that I'm not excited. Because boy oh boy could that be the farthest thing from it...
